The Ministry of Economy of Kosovo in close collaboration with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is hosting the Kosovo Solar Investment Forum: Unlocking a Renewable Energy Future. 

With ratification of the Energy Strategy 2022-2031, pending draft Renewable Energy Law, and the new Rule on Prosumers, 2023 is a momentous year for Kosovo’s renewable energy transition as it redefines its energy future. 

The Kosovo Solar Investment Forum gathers all the leading local and international energy sector players, investors, commercial banks, RES developers and businesses, government officials, and policymakers under one roof to discuss and promote investment in renewable energy.  

The Forum will highlight the favorable business environment and growing investment opportunities in Kosovo introducing the upcoming 100 MW solar auction.  

Following the opening plenary session, the Forum will feature a solar auction pre-bidders conference and demo as well as a break-out session on small-scale solar expansion and development championed by the Government of Kosovo.  

In parallel, the Forum will host a Solar Trade Fair where the country's leading solar companies, commercial banks, and other RES players will display and market their services and products.    

Day Two of the Forum will offer a site visit to where the winning auction bidder will develop the 100 MW solar PV plant.
